Description
ZOVIRAX PUMP 2GM
PURPOSE:
Zovirax Cold Sore Cream contains the antiviral agent aciclovir for treating cold sores before they start. Zovirax Cold Sore Cream can stop a cold sore appearing if used at the tingle stage (this is when you feel a tingling, burning or itching sensation).
The tingle means the cold sore countdown is on. It’s important to use Zovirax Cold Sore Cream straight away as this stage may only last 24 hours.
Zovirax can even be used if the cold sore has already started. Once the cold sore has broken through the skin, healing can take up to 10 to 12 days. Using Zovirax in the early stages can speed up the healing time by days. So if a cold sore does appear continue to use Zovirax.
Whether you’re feeling the tingle that indicates a cold sore is coming, or you already have one, use Zovirax Cold Sore Cream.
There are 4 stages of a cold sore. You can use scientifically proven Zovirax Cold Sore Cream at any stage to lessen its impact on your life.
Tingle Stage (day 1)
Your skin tingles and itches and you know a cold sore is on its way. Treat this symptom with Zovirax Cold Sore Cream and you could stop the coldsore appearing. Remember, when you sense the tingle, the cold sore countdown is on. This stage may only last 24 hours so it’s important to use Zovirax Cold Sore Cream right away.
Blister Stage (days 2-4)
A small, raised blotch swells and forms a painful single blister or cluster of blisters. When the blister first breaks through the skin, healing can take up to 10 to 12 days. Apply Zovirax Cold Sore Cream now and you could speed the process by days. Carry on using it if your coldsore does develop.
Weeping Stage (days 5-8)
Now the blisters collapse and join up to form a large, weeping sore. The virus can spread very easily at this stage. Most people find this the most embarrassing stage.
Scab Stage (days 9-12)
The blisters begin to dry out and heal. A scab begins to form. If picked at, the scab may crack painfully and bleed.
Keep Zovirax with you at all times so you can treat your next cold sore as soon as you feel the tingle. Wash your hands before and after treating your coldsore so you don’t make it worse or infect someone else.
DOSAGE:
Apply Zovirax to the affected area 5 times a day, (about every 4 hours). If you forget a treatment of Zovirax, apply some as soon as you remember and continue as before. Continue treatment with Zovirax for 5 days. If full healing has still not occurred after 10 days, or if your cold sore becomes very severe, consult your pharmacist. Do not exceed the stated dose.
